5 Awesome Tech-Related Companies In New York City

Mar 10, 2015

After finishing a few Apple Watch games, I had some free time and decided to ask around and find interesting tech-related companies in New York City. Not tech companies like Etsy and Facebook, but companies that had a mission of supporting tech in the city in one way or another. Here are a handful of the best ones that you should check out if you have some free time:

Geeks Rules - Geeks Rule is a 501©(3) nonprofit organization based out of New York City focused on promoting the study of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) among underserved youth. Flatiron School - The Flatiron School trains passionate, creative people in web and mobile development. Brooklyn Tech Triangle - An area encompassing the Brooklyn Navy Yard, DUMBO and Downtown Brooklyn that’s attracting tech companies and entrepreneurs. Assembly - Assembly is a platform that enables anyone, anywhere to openly collaborate and build real businesses together. AlleyNYC - AlleyNYC is the most supportive community on the planet for early stage businesses, start-ups, and entrepreneurs of all types. We are a dynamic 16,000 square foot co-working space centered in the heart of Manhattan. We foster a creative and collaborative environment, so that you can produce your best work.
