This isn’t the first pricey gadget given to A-listers in the hopes of turning it into a must-have fashion accessory. Dozens of actors and performers, including Oprah, Sarah Jessica Parker, Bill Murray, Miley Cyrus and, yes, Beyoncé, were seen wearing Google Glass. And we all know how that worked out.
There’s a huge difference between Google Glass and Apple Watch. Google Glass was never ready for prime time mass consumption. On the other hand, the Apple Watch has been finely tuned on both the hardware side and software side for consumption by the general public. There will absolutely be many enhancements to the Watch OS over the next few months to tweak the software, but overall the device is definitely ready to go.
