AppAdvice wrote a nice piece about gaming on the Apple Watch and two of our games, Berry Quest and Blackjack Mini. They make a good point about battery life: if you play a long game on the Apple Watch, will you be able to use the watch for an entire day?
I see the Apple Watch as the next logical step in device usage. TVs, console games, and laptops, all large screens, are used for hours at a time. iPads for a little less. iPhones are used for many minutes at a time to read a bunch of emails, respond to them, play a 10 minute of Crossy Roads.
And soon, we’ll have the Apple Watch, which we’ll use for 10 seconds or less at a time. I expect that we’ll take a peak at a notification and quickly get back to our day to day lives. While standing on a crowded Manhattan train on our commute home, we’ll look at our Apple Watch and play a couple hands of Blackjack Mini. My guess is that this very brief usage throughout the day will sip the battery and still let it last all day long.
